Closed around 1980, the Sault Collegiate High School sat majestically upon the hill overlooking the city. Recently bought by a developer with plans to use the land for a nursing home, this landmark was demolished in 2001.
I lived near the foot of the hill on Grosvenor as a kid and would have attended the Collegiate had it not closed. I have fond memories of tobogganing down the steep slope of the hill many a winter.
